Cycling prolong life


An interesting study conducted by scientists from Copenhagen. Watching those who often ride a bike , experts have concluded that fast driving on this type of vehicle can increase the life expectancy of five years.
The study was conducted over 20 years. Five thousand people of both sexes aged 21 to 90 years every day riding a bike. They found that men and women who rode the iron horse at a fast pace , living in 5.3 years and 3.9 years respectively for more than a slow rider .



Thus , those who rode an average rate of 2.9 live and 2.2 years longer. So it was intense cycling increases the life expectancy. Moreover, the concept of " intensity" is relative and depends on the age and physical abilities cyclist. But subjectively, if a person is slightly puffed , then the pace of the ride for her can be considered quite intense.
Another interesting discovery made by scientists from Duke University Medical Center . Experts have found that aerobic exercises - most effective in eliminating the most dangerous kind of fat - visceral . Visceral fat is different from the normal course of fat that accumulates in the abdominal wall or thighs. Visceral fat - a fat layer that wraps the internal organs and the space between them.
The presence of fat is associated with high risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and some cancers . When it comes to risk assessment of body fat for health, it is more critical is the presence of visceral fat than the overall percentage of body fat. According to the study , aerobic training burned 67 percent more calories than a workout with heavy weights.
